I found this to be an almost perfect portrait of Mid-Sixties Road America. Here we have GM’s first foray into a ‘sporty’ economy car, the Chevy II Nova Super Sport Convertible. You can almost picture the young married couple, who maybe just sold their beloved TR3, walking back to their Nova SS ragtop after watching Augie Pabst and Bill Wuesthoff winning the USRRC 500 in an Elva Mark 7 Porsche. With that spirit of a modern sports racer flashing by in the distance.
