Here we see the clear intent of Leonard Lord at BMC in his establishing a relationship with Donald Healey’s motor car company in 1952. BMC wanted to benefit from Healey’s long established reputation as a high performance sports car company.
The seriousness of the competition character of this AH 100 is clearly expressed by the Brooklands windscreens and the chip of the racing number roundell below.
The piping of the leather seats and console cover show the English fit and finish quality BMC wanted to deliver to this new post war generation of sports car buyers.
